On August, 16th the Ferret Club was invited to a pet shop, Lemmikkipiste, in Hämeenlinna to show our ferrets and tell some facts about them. It drizzled slightly in the morning, but by the evening the sun decided to come out to play. The ferrets were the centerpiece of the shop and they really brought in inquirers and spectators. We had a good amount of ferrets with us; Outi and Mats' quartet, Johanna's beautiful Lumikko, Leila and Jaakko's dynamic duo, and, last but definitely not least, Elmeri. The fuzzbutts put on a good show for their fans, despite a few piercings and stink bombs. Our plexiglass ferret playpen turned out, yet again, to be extremely useful, and the fuzzbutts stayed mainly nicely within it. Because of a fair being arranged at the same time, there were quite a few visitors at the shop. But even people on their regular Saturday walk came in to see what was going on. The day passed in good spirits, and both owners and ferrets were quite satisfied with the happening. When the day came to an end, we packed up our stuff and set off home with the new Prestige ferret food to try out. A big thanks goes out to the owner of Lemmikkipiste, Sanna Latvala.
